The 10th annual Roofing of the Goat Parade and Festival is on Saturday, June 8. If you haven’t had the opportunity to experience the “roofing”, you still have time to join in all the fun. The parade begins at the corner of Mill Road and Highway 42 in downtown Sister Bay. The goats leap down the road to Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant. The parade culminates with the goats “roofing” of the season. In case you wondered, the goats don’t go on the roof in rain or snow. Afterwards, the parade is followed by Al Johnson’s Annual Goat Fest located at Stabbur Beer Garden which is next to the restaurant. Goat Fest features all day festivities from live music and food, to a Swedish Pancake Eating contest and more. It’s a celebration throughout Sister Bay celebrating the roofing of the goats. The parade starts at 11am. Remember, if you want to see the parade, goats walk fast so be on time!
If you are looking for lodging, we still have rooms available. If you stay three nights prior to June 11, you receive your last night at no charge!
